These georgian spices for beans are a wonderful seasoning for the Georgian national dish called lobio. Thanks to a well-assembled composition, including ground coriander, red pepper and utskho suneli, cooking a dish of any complexity will become much faster and easier.
The all-natural ingredients provide fullness and expressiveness of taste. The word “lobio” has two meanings in Georgian: green beans and the name of the dish. It is believed that the queen of Georgia, Tamara, first tried it when, together with her army, she knocked on the door of a frail shack and they could only serve her beans with spices. After tasting this simple meal, queen Tamara was amazed by its satiety and exquisite taste and on her way back home, she requested adding the beans with spices to the palace menu. Since then, lobio kept gaining recognition and popularity.
These spices have a sharp and bright aroma which is typical for most recipes of Georgian cuisine. They are rich in vitamins and trace elements.
